Our Body Skin Care Routine

Skin is skin. And caring for it shouldn’t just be limited to your face. We love this shift we’ve seen towards a holistic approach to skincare. Your body deserves year-round attention too, not just in the summer when we’re more bare than usual. Taking a holistic approach to skincare, meaning focusing on you whole body not just your face, is essential for achieving healthy, glowing skin from head to toe. From the art of dry brushing to the power of intention, we’re taking a look at our routine and delving into the importance of exfoliation, nourishment, and relaxation, offering you a skincare routine that will leave you looking and feeling radiant.

DRY BRUSHING

As the foundation to our body skincare routine, we start with dry brushing. This invigorating technique not only feels incredible but also has transformative effects for your skin. Before showering or taking a bath, take a few minutes to gently brush your skin using a quality dry brush like G.Tox Brush from Goop or our all-time favorite Sisal Dry Brush. To dry brush, begin at your feet and work your way up, gently brushing your skin in long, circular strokes. This ritual not only helps rid your body of toxins but also leaves your skin feeling rejuvenated, exfoliated, and silky smooth.

Exfoliation is key for unlocking that glowing complexion. This essential step helps remove dead skin cells, promote cell renewal, and improve texture and tone. Our pick for a revitalizing, natural exfoliant is the Exfoliating Peppermint Brick Soap, this indulgent soap brick not only cleanses but also soothes your senses. Body oils & Lotions

Replenishing your skin’s moisture is the next step to ensuring a holistic body skincare routine. We recommend our favorite body oils and lotions that nurture your skin and nourish your soul. Boost your skin’s radiance with the all-natural Kjaer Weis Body Oil, enriched with nourishing jojoba oil and sunflower seed oil. WASHES, MASKS and tools

Don’t forget to awaken your senses with beautifully scented body washes. Explore an array of options, including the refreshing Necessaire body wash in Eucalyptus or our personal favorite Dr Bronners body wash, we typically favor the unscented, but love the peppermint version, scented with organic peppermint oil to cool skin, clear sinuses and sharpen the mind. Each will transform your shower into a sensory oasis while maintaining the natural balance of your skin.

For an extra treat, we like to introduce a body mask like the lush coffee mask, which can be used on your entire body. Kaolin deeply cleanses impurities from the pores and ground coffee acts as a gentle scrub to buff away dryness and reveal glowing skin beneath.

We’ve already noted the dry brush as a useful tool, but we also love other options like this beautiful and functional massage tool by Costa Brazil.
